Syed Basar Shueb was appointed as a Board Member, Chief Executive Officer and
Managing Director of IHC in July 2019. Prior to his tenure at IHC, Basar held the
position of Group Chief Executive Officer of PAL Group of Companies from 2000.
An accomplished senior executive, Basar has substantial and diversified experience
in the processing, manufacturing, construction, and service industries. He is
known to be a decisive and pragmatic leader, creating cohesive and focused
business units that grow profitable bottom lines. He is the founder of ‘District
Cooling’ established in 2006, and which today is one of the key players in the
UAE’s utilities services sector.
Beyond IHC, he holds leadership positions in several companies such as Reem
Finance PJSC, Chimera Investments, Keyhole TIG (K-TIG) Limited and PAL Group of
Companies. Basar holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Near East
University, Nicosia, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Chief Strategy and Growth Officer
Peter Abraam is the Chief Strategy and Growth Officer of the Abu Dhabi Stock
Exchange listed IHC. With a proven reputation for strategic planning and a sharp
business intellect, Peter has led numerous award-winning initiatives, that have
increased stakeholder value in prominent companies across the UAE and Australia.
Peter skillfully navigates international business circles with an impressive
breadth of experience spanning, property, healthcare, tourism, and private equity
investments in over 40 countries.
Peter plays an integral role in the ongoing development of IHC’s structure,
driving strategic fundamentals across acquisition, restructuring, consolidation,
and bolstering the Holding’s investment and stakeholder ecosystem. Peter has been
a Board Director of a number of leading institutions engaged in financial,
commercial and philanthropic based activities, including the Bank of Sydney, K-TIG
Australia (ADX: TIG), Cranleigh School (Founding Trustee, Abu Dhabi) and The
Hellenic Initiative Australia. A graduate of RMIT University, Peter initially
practiced in Landscape and Urban Design and is a fellow of the highly regarded
Leadership Victoria Program.
Alwyn Dinesh Crasta
Group Chief Financial Officer
Alwyn Dinesh Crasta has been the Group Chief Financial Officer at IHC since 2018.
Alwyn has a twenty-year established record in financial management for
multinational organizations within the FMCG supply chain and agricultural sectors.
With a longstanding skill in business modelling, funding strategies, profitability
analysis, investment planning, business intelligence, corporate governance, as
well as treasury and risk management, Alwyn oversees IHC’s various financial
functions and is actively involved in managing new investments, leading mergers
and acquisitions. Alwyn is also a member of the board of directors of Easy Lease
Motorcycle Rental and AGrinV.
Alwyn holds a master’s degree in Finance from Mumbai University and a Master of
Business Administration from Hult International Business School. He has also
acquired the CMA certification in Australia (Certified Management Accountant) and
Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies (DMS) from Chetana Institute, Mumbai.
